Ash Scattering

Compassionate, Caring Services

This is your special time to say farewell with your own personal service. The Captain and crew member participate as little or as much as you would like.

In true nautical tradition, the Captain rings the ship’s bell eight times after the ashes are scattered into the sea, which signals last watch, and makes a turn around the ashes in recognition of your loved one. You may also bring your loved one’s favorite music to connect to our Bluetooth stereo. The service is typically 90 minutes.

Our Alexandria ship, which holds up to 12 passengers, is U.S. Coast Guard inspected and guided by a U.S. Coast Guard licensed captain. At the conclusion of the service, you receive a certificate documenting the exact coordinates, date, and time of the service.
